Obesity in USA reaches epidemic proprtions:

- 88 million overweight (8 out of 10 over 25's overweight)
- 60 million obese
- 7 million morbidly obese.

Rates of obesity are climbing. An ominous statistic is that the percentage of children and adolescents who are obese has doubled in the last 20 years.

Obesity related diseases overwhelm Health Care System (total costs about $200 billion).

For people who desire to increase antioxidant levels to feel less tired and have more energy

According to the Agricultural Research Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, oxidation of various chemical components of cells is thought to be the major process, leading to tissue damage and diseases of several types. Dietary antioxidants, as defined by Natural Pharmacy alternative Medicine, are natural biochemical substances that protect living cells against damage from harmful free radicals. Antioxidants work against the process of oxidation. If unblocked or left uncontrolled, oxidation can lead to cellular degeneration, arthritis, heart disease, cancer, and other illnesses. Antioxidants in the body react readily with oxygen breakdown products andfree radicals and neutralize them before they can damage the body. When multiple antioxidants are taken in combination, the effect is stronger than when they are used individually.

A high ORAC intake is believed to be a powerful tool in achieving optimum health.

The Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) assay has been widely accepted as a standard tool to measure the antioxidant capacity in the neutraceutical, pharmaceutical, andfood industries. The higher the ORAC, the more capable a particular food is of destroying free radicals, thus retarding the aging process and other diseases.

Essential oils, like those found in SlimTrax®, have the highest ORAC scores of any known substance. Carrots, for example, have an ORAC score of 210, while raspberries score at 1,220 and blueberries 2,400. By comparison, the ORAC scores of the ingredients of SlimTrax® are stunning. According to the Essential oils Desk Reference, 2nd Ed., the ORAC score of SlimTrax® ingredient clove oil (Syzigium aromaticum) is the most powerful antioxidant known. The ORAC score of clove is 10,786,875 - nearly 400 times moer antioxidant per unit volume than the most powerful of all known fruits and vegetables.

Explained another way, just two drops of oil of clove have the antioxidant power of 5 pounds of carrots, 10 oranges or 20 ounces of orange juice, 2.5 pounds of beets, or 4 cups of raspberries.

Controlling weight is important for cosmetic and medical reasons. Obesity increases a person's risk of ilness and death due to:
  • diabetes (80% of type II diabetes related to obesity);
  • cardiovascular disease (70% cardiovascular disease related to obesity);
  • cancer (42% breast and colon cancer diagnosed among obese indiviuals);
  • gal bladder diseases (30% of gall bladder surgery related to obesity;
  • high blood pressure (25% of obese people having high blood pressure);
  • obesity is also a risk factor for the development of osteoarthritis and sleep apnea.

About eating regulation and hunger mechanism

The feelings of hunger and satiety are influenced by specific centers of brain, especially hypothalamus. The lateral nuclei of hypothalamus serve as a feeding center, the ventromedial nuclei serve as the satiety center.

Regulation of quantity of food intake can be divided into long-term regulation and short-term regulation.

Long-term regulation is concerned primarily with maintenance of normal quantities of energy stores in the human body. Long-term regulation includes nutritional energy feedback mechanism (hunger and satiety are regulated by the levels of glucose, fatty acids and amino acids in blood).

Short-term regulatory system has task to prevent overeating at the time of each meal. Short-term regulatory stimuli make the person eat smaller quantities at each eating session.

Obese people have a strong biological component of hunger and eating. They have a diferent hunger and satiety mechanism from people who are not obese. Many studies show that twins who grew up apart still weigh about the same. Also, adopted children's weights are similar to their biological parents, not their adopted parents.

Most theories of hunger are based on the biological component. Stomach contraction theory states we know that we are hungry when our stomach contracts. In the "balloon study" they trained thmselves to swallow a balloon, which was attached to a tube. When the balloon was inflated inside of the stomach, they did not feel hungry.

It is well known that the sensation of hunger is associated with several objective sensations, such as rhythmical contractions of the stomach that cause the person to search for an adequate food supply. Moreover, obese people and especially morbidly obese people mistake an irritation of the stomach for true hunger. This type of false hunger is characterized by generalized, non-specific craving for food whenever the stomach is empty, regardless of any true need for food. A stomach that has been habitually subjected to abuses (such as overeating or alcohol drinking), as well as improper chewing or eating very spicy food, becomes uncomfortable or even painful when it is empty. This gnawing discomford, termed hunger pangs, results from irritated walls of the empty stomach coming in contact with one another. Because the hunger pangs are relieved by eating, they are experienced as a craving for food and are erroneously thought to be hunger. Continually eating to relieve an irritation of the stomach ultimately irritates it further. The best remedy for such an irritation is rest of the stomach and other digestive organs.

Mechanism of action

Slimtrax® influences the short-term regulatory system for feeding in order to act as an hunger suppressant. SlimTrax® by its anesthetic, anti-inflammatory and other properties:

  • ameliorates hunger pain (pangs);
  • causes inhibition of activity of the receptors in wall of the stomach which sense the absence of the food;
  • prevents appearance of migrating myoelectric complexex - MMCs (reflex generation of waves of electrical activity in the enteric nervous system), and in such a way suppresses hunger contractions in the stomach and small intestines (rumbling noise associated with hunger);
  • decreases neural output from stomach and other parts of gastro-intestinal system. These nerve impulses stimulate the lateral nuclei of hypothalamus which serve as a feeding center;
  • probably inhibits the release of gastro-intestinal hunger hormones (which are acting as appetite stimulants);
  • helps healing of irritated lining of stomach wall.

Slimtrax® do not change dopamine, serotonin, or any other neurotransmitter level in human brain.

Slimtrax® is absolutely ephedra and caffeine free supplement.

A standard used by many health professionals as one element in viewing weight issues is a person's Body Mass index (BMI). According to the Centers for Disease Conrol and Prevention of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, a higher than normal BMI is one of many factors related to developing a chronic disease (such as heart disease, cancer, or diabetes). Here is a formula to determine your BMI:

(in pounds)
height x height (in inches)
x 703 = BMI

This chart will put BMI into perspective:

Below 18.5 Underweight
18.5 - 24.9 Normal
25.0 - 29.9 Overweight
30.0 and above Obese

...these substances in some weigh-loss products:

- hypertension, dehydration, depletes brain cell's sugar reserves, addictive, tahicardia

- hypertension, tahicardia, damaging metabolic equilibrium

- depleting levels of serotonin, affects behaviour, sleeping

- addictive, damaging metabolic equilibrium
